PRINCESS YACHTS ANNOUNCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF TWO NEW SPORTS YACHTS

Following the recent announcement of the Princess V62, due for launch at Southampton Boat Show in September of this year, Princess Yachts International Plc is pleased to announce the development of two additional new V Class sports yachts; the Princess V78 and V42, scheduled for launch in early 2009.

Princess V78

The Princess V78 is an exciting new addition to the V Class range and will sit in-between the V70 and V85, launched earlier this year. With raised bulwarks and a powerful deep-V hull, the V78 has been honed for long-range cruising to put the most exclusive locations within easy reach, while her high-speed capabilities ensure an intoxicating blend of excitement and precision control.

On deck an enormous cockpit provides an uncluttered environment for flexible entertaining and incorporates a fully equipped wetbar and large seating area. The garage is centrally located beneath the generous sunpad, while a hydraulically operated up/down platform is fitted as standard for stowage of an additional tender or wetbike.

The main deck features an expansive saloon with low-level furniture and contemporary fittings, as well as the latest electronics and entertainment system. The forward dining area seats eight comfortably and the helm position has been thoroughly resolved for optimum visibility. An opening roof and triple sliding glass doors provide the feeling of true open boating with the flexibility to provide shade at the touch of a button.

Stylish lower accommodations achieve new levels of space and light, with a unique reversed layout in the master suite providing the ultimate feeling of exclusivity. The owner enjoys a large en-suite bathroom with twin sinks and a cavernous shower, with a separate walk-in wardrobe situated to the port side. Guest are treated to similar levels of luxury in a VIP stateroom forward and two twin berth cabins forward of the galley.

With a choice of powerful engine options to complement a muscular profile and an opulent contemporary interior, the Princess V78 promises the ultimate in V Class performance and is eagerly anticipated as one of the most dynamically capable models the Company has every conceived.

Princess V42

The Princess V42 has become one of the best known sports yachts in production today, with an almost legendary combination of style, pace and agility at sea.

Now a brand new Princess will adopt the mantle to reinvent the benchmark of modern sports yacht design.

With the option of an electric hardtop which incorporates a large opening sunroof, the flexibility afforded by the latest in V Class design can be enjoyed on a craft of 42 feet. Yet the new V42 possesses one of the most dynamic and sleek profiles in her class.

That a hardtop can be incorporated into a superstructure without interrupting her beautiful lines is a testament to the years of experience within the Princess development team, and both the logical layout and standard of accommodation are equally impressive.

The cockpit benefits from two separate seating areas and enjoys the convenience of a wetbar and top-loading cool box, plus the option of a barbecue for al fresco entertaining.

The aft deck incorporates a sunbed and dinghy garage as standard, for a level of comfort and convenience that makes life aboard effortless and relaxing.

For an extended stay there are two cabins, with the owner’s accommodation forward and a guest cabin amidships. Both benefit from the luxury of en-suite facilities and have a cool, contemporary finish with gloss or satin finish timber furniture and the finest fabrics and upholstery.

The saloon and galley provide a haven for relaxation below decks, with the latest in modern appliances and a high specification of standard equipment, plus the flexibility of a convertible saloon table for additional overnight guests.

This new model incorporates all the essential ingredients of the latest V Class sports yacht. With dynamic style and thrilling performance to match, the new Princess V42 is set to redefine the benchmark.

PRINCESS YACHTS ANNOUNCE NEW V62 SPORTS YACHT

Princess Yachts International Plc is pleased to announce that a sleek new V Class sports yacht is currently in the final stages of development and is due to be revealed at the Southampton International Boat Show in September 2008.

The Princess V62 will combine the performance and versatility of an enclosed hard top sports yacht with the advantages of large volume accommodation spaces including both a main deck saloon and separate lower dining area.

The main deck saloon will be elegantly finished with contemporary low-level furniture and seating and is linked to a large open cockpit through triple sliding glass doors. On deck a flexible entertaining space includes generous seating, a wetbar and barbeque and a central sunbed above the aft garage which can accommodate either a rigid inflatable or wetbike. A hydraulic up/down platform is also fitted as standard for added convenience or for stowage of an additional tender.

The lower accommodation consists of a full-beam en-suite owner’s stateroom, an en-suite VIP stateroom forward and a large twin cabin to starboard. There is also the option of a single berth crew cabin aft.

The lower dining area provides seating for six opposite a well equipped galley and features a large LCD TV mounted inboard. The galley itself boasts a full height fridge freezer, twin bowl stainless steel sink and plentiful storage for an extended stay aboard.

The new model will sit in-between the V65 and the V58 in the Princess V Class range, with many of the design features of the larger boat filtering down into the V62.

“It’s a model that we think will appeal to all markets,” says Will Green, Sales Director. “The enclosed saloon makes it ideal for cruising in northern waters, but of course it’s equally practical for those parts of the world where air-conditioning is considered essential.”

With the latest advanced deep V hull and conventional drive, and with a combined output of up to 2400hp, the V62 is set to deliver true V Class performance with class leading handling and absolute control, for comfortable long range high speed cruising.

PRINCESS V85 with MTU’s 2400hp, performance and photography.

One of our Princess V85’s with the above installation was delivered recently by sea, from Plymouth to Antibes (S. France) a distance of 1800 n.m.

With a variety of sea conditions running across the Western Approaches down through the Bay of Biscay and onwards to Gibraltar then up through the Western Mediterranean, she performed exceptionally well, arriving in Antibes in a very respectable 6 days from start to finish.

During her trials here in Plymouth, under our normal test conditions and 50% loading, she achieved a maximum performance of 37 knots, accelerating very quickly with the feeling of a real thoroughbred, from tick over to a high continuous cruise speed of 33 knots.

PRINCESS 50 PHOTOGRAPHY

We have pleasure in attaching some photographs of the Princess 50 both static and running shots taken while on a recent photoshoot in the South of France.

With the twin Volvo D11 engines at 670hp each, the Princess 50 is performing extremely well, achieving maximum speeds with full load of fuel and water, under our test conditions here in Plymouth, of over 31 knots and averaging at continuous cruise speeds (200 rpm below maximum) of 28 knots.
